Bio

During the Iran/Iraq war in her childhood years in Tehran, Layla huddles in a basement with her grandparents while Saddam Hussein's aircraft bomb the neighborhood. She flees Tehran as a child and makes her way to London to safety until she finds herself without housing in London at 15.
Eventually though still underage, she manages to bluff her way into a job at a members only London club, where by the age of 15 she was overseeing the VIP section and staff members.
The pressure of being a straight A student by day, and working at a nightclub by night, while still providing for herself with no family or support weighed on Layla. As an escape she spent any
free time she had watching and falling in love with American TV Shows and films.
Through her love of television and movies Layla realized that she wanted to pursue a career in television.
Inspired by American culture and what she perceived as the American dream,
Layla headed to Los Angeles seeking more than the life she was leaving behind.

The Actress and TV personality worked her way from the housing projects of London to the forefront of Hollywood. Layla’s vibrant personality and persistence landed her a spot as an extra on the tv show “Friends” within her first week in Los Angeles. But, looking to pursue her career further, Layla took an unconventional route to getting her resume in the right hands. She “borrowed” a very well known agencies letterhead, sent out her resume and called casting directors pretending to be an agent’s assistant.
Layla’s scrappy tactics earned her roles on seven seasons of MTV’s hit show

“America’s Best Dance Crew” alongside Mario Lopez, she contributed segments for “The Insider,” acted as a correspondent for Al Gore’s Current TV and spent 4 years on G4’s “Attack of the Show.”

In addition Layla has hosted the

“Teen Mom Reunion Show" along with the “Teen Wolf” Q & A Shows on MTV. She was also a repeat guest on VH1’s “Big Morning Buzz Live Hosted by Nick Lachey” and as a guest panelist on CBS's "The Talk".
